Just One Day by Gayle Forman

Just One Day is one book with a heck of a story to tell, it is fast-paced, and captures the need of a girl that wants to take risks but is too afraid to do so perfectly. The way the book is split up into two separate parts adds to the importance of trying to leave something behind which is the main theme in this storyline. I could express in my own words the amazing way that Gayle talked about you adulthood, new experiences, learning to take a risk, and teach you to be true to yourself.
I truly enjoyed how fast the pace of this book, it helped to soar through the storyline and actually made just one day actually feel like it. Another great thing was that this book had the perfect amount of mystery to add especially for just one day. Throughout Allyson (Lulu) and Willem's time together you feel like you are trying to figure out the mystery of unlocking Willem's heart along with Allyson. That alone makes for a great read even if the other parts of the plot were not included, which thankfully though are. One of my most favorite parts of how this Gayle Forman wrote this book was the way she ended it, it wasn't just left open to create another great story to follow this but it leaves the end up to the imagination of the reader which is something many authors can do with great success. Although when they can it creates the perfect ending for anyone who wants to read this fantastic book. All of the events that are expressed within this book make it a good read, I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn to take a risk and give someone a chance because maybe it will take you places you never imagined.
