Since Last Summer

Since Last Summer by Joanna Philbin

This story is about a girl who goes out to visit her boyfriend in California during the summer before she starts college, yeah wow I'm sure you're really surprised about how this one is gonna end... NOT.
Ok, first things first if you are an advanced reader and can read into a story and figure out how it is gonna end before it actually does, do not, I repeat do not read this book. I was only about a third of the way through before I figured out how this book was going to end, truth be told this starting from not the first book in a series (which I didn't know UNTIL I started reading it).

Now after I got my rant out of the way for readers that are more advanced I can move on and divulge into what the book was actually like. I still stand by my first statement about how the book is too predictable and doesn't keep you on your toes, but if you are a reader that finds sappy love stories with predictable ends enjoyable be my guest and pick up this book today because you would really enjoy it.

As a reader who likes to try new styles of writing, and genres of books all the time I found this book to be very obvious and not an enjoyable read. I thought the characters had to basic of personalities, the plot was too predictable even for my basic standards, and there were various grammatical errors within that were too obvious not to have been caught by the publisher or the author herself if she would have read through it again.

In total, I would not recommend to everyone or anyone unless I know that they are into sappy teen love stories with predictable endings.
